Okay, haven't checked in for awhile, but I'm glad I did. Thanks for the addition to the forum guys! I'll be passing out the web addy to anybody I swing a sword with, and hopefully posts will start filtering in.
Hey guys, figured I'd keep you up to scratch on the progress of things out west. It's finally starting to warm up a bit out here, and once the spring rains let up I'll be getting some 1v1 sparring in with my brother. So far I haven't had the chance to form a cohesive group in the area I live it, but next week I'm making the move back into an urban environment that I'm very familiar with.
So soon the city of Morgantown, WV will have it's own branch of the Galatia Mercenary Company. I've gotten a handful of people interested enough to at least claim that they'll join in, and once we get our practices started there's nothing stopping the group from growing.
Also I've been hearing more and more about Dagorhir's sister sport, Amtgard. Anybody else know anything about this? I'm thinking of cross-training with their rules set just to have the ability to participate in a wider range of battles.
